Well, I knew this month would fly by but I can't quite believe in just two weeks time it will be Christmas Eve - my favourite part of Christmas is always the anticipation! Today I turned a corner mentally and have totally embraced Christmas, I said I would. With my final wedding before Christmas behind me, I woke up to the radio playing classic festive tunes and have been belting them out as I drove around in the flower power van all morning. (Just as well I work for myself is all I can say).
Yesterday saw my last wedding before Christmas, a very pretty affair - all peaches and creams. There are three more lovely couples still counting down to their big days' before midnight on the 31st December, but for now, I'm up for a bit of festive frivolity which appears to be washing over everyone, everywhere I go!
This week see's lots more wreath classes, as well as here in Berkshire, I'm at Long Barn, Alresford, the home of Hampshire Lavender, making wreaths and table centres. I'm twice in Wiltshire spreading the floral love: inspiring and encouraging the creative spirit to flow - all washed down with a few mince pies and lashings of mulled wine, after all, "Tis the season to be jolly" and all that!
Next week, apart from more beautiful Christmas flowers, wreaths and gifts to arrange for events and private clients, I'm very much looking forward to working with the amazing team over at Sheepdrove Eco Centre - pictures and blog to follow.
I've posted two pictures to feast your eyes on. A pretty bouquet from yesterday's wedding and a door wreath looking very glamorous on my friend Sarah Arrowsmith's front door. She's the lady who, along with the equally amazing Belinda Chaffer work tirelessly behind the scenes getting the Bucklebury wreath classes underway; hosting and feeding the ladies with scrumptious morsels, mulled wine and hot cups of coffee. I look forward to sharing the final amount raised from these classes with you soon. In the meantime, I'd like to thank them both very much, the charities Naomi House and The Rainbow Trust are all the richer for your tireless support. Xx
