In a small wood, adjacent to the rather beautiful Little Park House in West Berkshire, there is a clearing. This was the location for Kate and Lloyd’s beautiful woodland wedding ceremony.
The colour scheme was buttercup yellow, inspired by the bridesmaid’s dresses the flowers were simple, uncomplicated and yet at the same time, exquisite. Daisies, freesia, roses and greenery were simply tied with garden twine to create an informal, just gathered from the garden look. The girls all wore flowers in their hair.
The walk to the ceremony was a short amble from the beautiful house through a wood into the clearing.
The route was decorated with ribbons and jam jars filled with yellow and white flowers. In the clearing an arch was decorated with pretty yellow and white flowers and foliages. Chairs were set out and everyone crossed their fingers that it wouldn't rain that afternoon, (as it had done that morning) it didn’t.
The guests assembled in all their finery at precisely 4pm for the wedding of Kate and Lloyd.
Kate, her flower girls, two page boys and her sister as matron of honour, made their way from the beautiful house along the track to the place where the groom was waiting for his very beautiful bride.
Everyone looked on and witnessed the lovliest of ceremonies, sharing in Kate and Lloyds happiness.
Afterwards the guests followed the newlyweds into the garden of the beautiful house and under a very large tepee, sipped champagne and enjoyed a very fine wedding breakfast.
A large party followed which lasted into the night.
T'was a very fine wedding. Pure and simple. X
