My name’s Lindsey although everyone calls me Linz. I’m a wife, mother and a florist who laughs (and talks) often!

I never planned to become a florist; I trained originally as a nurse then graduated as a midwife. What began as a creative outlet during a maternity break flourished into a busy, thriving event florist business.

I’m an enthusiastic cook, I love foraging ingredients and am never happier sitting around a table eating good food, sipping wine with friends and family. For me arranging flowers is similar to cooking: it’s about sourcing the finest seasonal ingredients; what you do with these is where the magic happens…

Rain or shine I’ll be walking Maple my Springer in the Berkshire countryside, it’s where I draw so much of my seasonal inspiration from.

I think we should all take some personal responsibilty towards the urgent environmental issues of our time and as a florist I set an example by arranging without the use of single-use plastic or floral foam; furthermore I up-cycle, recyle and wrap all TWHFCo bouquets in brown or unbleached paper.

As well as importing the best blooms from abroad I’ve been buying flowers here in the UK for more than a decade, by doing so I can appreciate the seasonal ebb and flow of locally grown flowers and foliage during our growing season. Truth is, I buy locally mostly because I think they embellish my arrangements immeasurably.

A yogi for almost 30 years, (I even pay for my classes in flowers)! My yoga keeps me both grounded and strong - particularly useful when lugging heavy buckets of flowers around, not to mention climbing huge ladders making those epic floral installations!
